« Le développement durable a toujours été au cœur de la stratégie RSE d’EQIOM. C’est donc tout naturellement qu’EQIOM a rallié le programme « FRET21 – Les chargeurs s’engagent » lancée par d’ADEME et l’AUTF pour réduire les émissions de gaz à effet de serre des transports de marchandises liées à son activité. EQIOM s’engage ainsi à limiter l’impact des transports sur le climat.
The commitment covers a period of 36 months from January 2017 to December 2019 and consists of :
- The implementation of 6 reduction actions
- A reduction target of 6% for annual emissions in year N+3 (2019), compared to those of the reference year N (2016).

Thus, EQIOM favours partnerships with transporters whose fleets are modern (trucks meeting Euro6 standards), who use bio-fuels (such as gas or ethanol) and whose drivers are trained in eco-driving.
"In the same vein, EQIOM favours transport partners with investment and innovation capacities, ready to take up the challenge of green fuels with us," says François Meyer.
EQIOM is committed to encouraging transporters to reduce empty km by increasing return loads, doubling the volumes transported by rail or reducing the tonnage transported between sites by road...
In terms of initial emissions within the commitment perimeter, EQIOM accounts for 57,833.45 tons of CO2 and has a reduction target of 3,635.33 tons of CO2, i.e. 6% less between 2016 and 2019.
EQIOM will have all results validated by TK'Blue, an independent transport rating and labelling agency.
