Plasterboard, better distribution of production areas

For a long time, Placoplatre has been defining optimal catchment areas to minimize the distance from distribution sites to customers. Today, the company invests a lot of financial and human resources in its factories, in order to better distribute the manufacturing of its products over the territory and thus limit inter-site transport.

For example, the readjustment of the production of certain specific plasterboard products between the various plants will make it possible to remove more than 1,600 lorries per year from circulation. This represents a saving of around 800 tonnes of CO2 compared to 2014, i.e. a 15% reduction in CO2 emissions linked to the inter-site transport of our products.
